Using a Remote Control
The optional ML-L3 remote control can be used to operate the camera remotely. Unlike the self-timer, the remote control allows the photographer to choose the timing of a self-portrait. It can also be used in place of a cable release to prevent blurring from movement that might otherwise result when the camera shutter-release is pressed.

2 Choose a shooting mode.Off
3 Frame the photograph and check focus.Off
4 Aim the transmitter on the wireless remote control at the infrared receiver on the camera and press the shutter-release button.Off
